WEIGHT VOLUME QUANTITY INGREDIENT INSTRUCTIONS
  3/4 cup 3/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  1. set stove to medium heat & sauté the onions until soft & slightly brown
  2. pour in spaghetti sauce
  3. pour in undrained red beans
  4. stir in uncooked brown rice
  5. stir in green peppers
  6. stir in chili powder
  7. stir in garlic salt
  8. set stove to low-medium heat & stir every 30-45 seconds (~5 minutes)
  9. when mixture is slightly more solid than liquid, pour in 1/2 cup water
  10. keep stirring (~7 minutes)
  11. a. note: if you plan on coating with cheese, pre-heat oven to 425f
  12. move mixture into casserole dish & coat with cheese
  13. leave in oven for 3-5 minutes
  14. let sit for 4-6 minutes
