WEIGHT VOLUME QUANTITY INGREDIENT SCALING INSTRUCTIONS
  1 1/2 cup 1 1/2 cup water  
  1. add water, milk, vanilla, and salt to a pot and bring to simmer over medium heat.
  2. once simmering, add oats to pot.
  3. cook over gentle simmer, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes until steel cut oats are tender.
  4. add brown sugar until desired sweetness is reached.
  1 1/2 cup 1 1/2 cup milk  
  1 1/2 tsp 1 1/2 tsp sea salt  
    seeds and pod from 1 vanilla bean  
  1 cup 1 cup oats (50/50 mix of old fashioned and steel cut oats)  
    brown sugar to taste
