  2 whole (large) 2 whole large lemons
  1. slice lemons paper thin.
  2. put 2 cups sugar over sliced lemons and let stand at room temperature for about 24 hours.
  3. combine 4 well beaten eggs with lemon and sugar.
  4. place in pie shell; cover with top crust.
  5. place in 450f oven for 15 minutes, then lower heat to 350f. bake until knife slides in without sticking.
